1. A brush between two rooms
In order to get two rooms I copied the room from the 'My First Window' tutorial rotated it a lit bit and put near the old one.

As you can see in the picture there is no direct way to get from the left room into the right. In this situation you need a hallway. So put in between a new brush which should be high enough for a player (around 104 units + 8 units ceiling +8 units floor = 120 units) and also wide enough (around 64 units + 16 units for the walls = 80 units)

2. Make the brush to a third room
Now hollow this brush.

As you will see the all walls (3 walls + ceiling + floor of the new room ) are a bit inside the walls of the two rooms you want to connect. So the next thing you have to made is to select all walls except the two ones which are exactly in the room walls.

Now make them as small as only more touch the wall of the two big rooms like you can see it in the image. Then go and select the two small walls which are exactly in the big walls of the two rooms.

So change here the wide and the height of the brushes so that it is has the same size of the hollow part of the hallway. If they have the right size carve them into the wall and delete them after this. Your hallway looks be ready now but be carefull the carving process has created two dead brushes at the point where the wall and the floor are touching.

Search this two brushes (sometimes it helps when your putting the floor away in order to select the dead brush) and delete them.
Now your hallway is really ready and should be look like this
